ABOUT ABBY'S PROMISE

Making a Difference in the Lives of Others

Abby's Promise is dedicated to helping improve others' lives through scholarship, financial support and research contributions.

Every day, an average of 43 children are diagnosed with cancer. On October 10, 2016, Abagail “Abby” Soto was one of those children. At the age of 16, she was diagnosed with a rare type of head and neck cancer. With our optimism high, we prayed that she would beat it. She fought hard to beat the disease, however her battle unfortunately came to an end on March 27, 2018, just over one month after her 18th birthday.

Throughout her battle, Abby was ambitious to overcome this obstacle and go on to graduate from Brooklyn Prospect Charter School and attend college. Throughout her battle, her medical records were shared for research purposes. It was her legacy to share her medical information to contribute to further studies of a cancer unknown to affect children. She also wanted to help other children and families going through the same hardship.

God sent Abby here to touch many hearts. We hope to do the same through Abby's Promise and its initiatives:

- Annual College Scholarship Award

- Financial support for families of pediatric cancer patients

- Head and Neck Cancer Research donations
